#ShareOneWorld is Ready for the Summer!

We want you to help us create more inclusive communities across the UK! 

COVID-19 was an unanticipated twist, and its impact has had far-reaching consequences. However, we strongly believe that in the recovery from all that has happened, we can initiate change in our communities. The current team behind the scenes at #ShareOneWorld have been working really hard to put us in a great position to kick on during the summer months. We look forward to you joining us on this journey! 

We’ve already welcomed more than a dozen pledge makers to the community, and they’ll be starting projects, big and small, to increase inclusion in their communities. Team members come from all over the UK, with ages ranging from sixth form students to graduates. Our diversity makes us stronger, and we can’t wait to foster collaboration between all members of the #SOW pledge-maker community. 

Each #SOW pledge-maker will embark upon a project that improves inclusion. We don’t set any limits to what you can run during the scheme, and we can’t wait to see what original, innovative and impactful ideas our community comes up with. 

As part of the #SOW scheme, we’re also pleased to introduce an initiative that focuses specifically on helping people to connect digitally, promoting inclusion through innovative technological designs, and encouraging the tech industry to ensure inclusion is put at the forefront of future advancements. If you want to improve inclusion, and love technology, then #CodeforInclusion is the project for you! We will be promoting inclusion through innovative technological designs and encouraging the tech industry to ensure inclusion is a central feature of future advancements. Our first #CodeforInclusion workshop will be held this coming Friday, to explore ideas and think big about where we want to go from here. 

If you’re interested in becoming a #SOW pledge-maker, and doing something to improve inclusion where you are, we’d love to hear from you! By making the pledge, you will be invited to join our community, and receive guidance, support and direction in pursuing your project. We’d finally like to thank our amazing #ShareOneWorld team working behind the scenes, as well as those who began the #SOW initiative several months ago - we won’t let you down!
