This analysis, published in May 2020, examines the education of children with special educational needs and disability (SEND). This shows that children with SEND continue to struggle at all levels of education.
Children with SEND have higher levels of exclusion, were more often absentees, and had lower levels of attainment throughout their education.
This shows the need for extra support for children with SEND throughout their education to get the most out of them and to help them to achieve their ambitions.
