KEEN’s National #ShareOneWorld Ambassador Programme Launches!
Do you believe that our world should include everyone, regardless of whether or not they have a disability?
Are you aged between 18 and 25 and looking for a new project to develop your skills?
Are you KEEN to shape the attitudes of the next generation and make a lasting positive change to your local community?
Then KEEN’s brand new #ShareOneWorld Ambassador Programme is for you!
The #ShareOneWorld Ambassador Programme involves training young people between 18 and 25 to become ambassadors for KEEN’s mission to promote the inclusion of all people. #ShareOneWorld Ambassadors will work closely with local schools to help educate school children about disability. This programme aims to help children to:
understand what ‘inclusion’ means
think about how inclusive their local community is
make a positive contribution to the inclusivity of their school and the area around them
What happens if I sign up to become a #ShareOneWorld Ambassador?
Once you’ve signed up as a #ShareOneWorld Ambassador, you will work with local schools to invite them to take part in the #ShareOneWorld campaign. After you’ve undertaken our virtual training course, you’ll be ready to visit your chosen school (either in person or virtually online) and give an assembly or workshop about inclusion and disability. The aim of this programme is to give young people an opportunity to inspire school children in their local communities to become #ShareOneWorld pledge-makers and carry out their own projects to promote inclusion.
The benefits of becoming a #ShareOneWorld Ambassador
Firstly, it looks great on your CV! You will develop skills in public speaking, leadership and representing a national organisation. This programme also provides valuable experience for students interested in careers in education, campaigning, marketing, social change and many other sectors. Finally, as well as seeing yourself grow more confident, you will have an opportunity to witness the positive change that you are making in your community.
All of the training sessions for becoming a #ShareOneWorld Ambassador take place online, so you can take part from anywhere within the UK.
