Why not read Scope's report on how we rebuild the welfare system after COVID!

This report, published in February 2021 and produced by the Social Market Foundation, supported by SCOPE, analyses the problems with the current welfare system and its impact on disabled people. 

The report identifies that 42% of people living in families that rely on disability benefit are in poverty, and that there are 1.8 million more people in poverty who live in a family that includes a disabled person than 15 years ago. 

The report ends with a call to rebuild the benefit system after the pandemic in a fairer, kinder way, lifting disabled people out of poverty and allowing them to fulfil their full potential, which will be of benefit to all of us.
